Just add 30-40% more zooming out so you can actually SPLIT little more and see around where scouts are, instead always sticking back to back and hope that scout outside of the screen doesn't spot you and hail the whole hell at you, only because you were incapable to see it even when sticking all at center at arm lengt! You're basically only supposed to stretch the camera reach when it is really needed.As I wrote, YOU STICK IN THE CENTER AT THE ARM LENGTH!Meaning you can't get any closer from center and yet the scouts gets to alarm just outside of the screen. Even if you would play alone, the scouts get to alarm outside of the screen!When moving out together, there is no reason to run ahead, you need to wait for the team to catch up anyway. Grabbing a sample off way would be one of the exceptions, but since that is easily a fairly momentary situation, the vulnerability window is not insurmountable.Still the same thing. Even if you would be alone, regardless team sticking at arm length to each other, scouts gets change to raise alarm outside of the screen. I feel you are exaggerating as of now. I have no issues this dramatic as you describe.
Are you using SMGs? Trouble aiming? Line of fire obscured? Do you check the map often?
You may leave out any of those issues to think you are not given sufficient time to react. I very rarely am detected by a scout I do not see beforehand, I simply do not kill it in time, even though I often run quite ahead, but not all the way possible, leading the way in a sample hunt.

An SMG actually helps me there as it allows to spray a cone area; though I stumble upon a scout close to screen border, I need only its approximate location to kill it. Sure the camera can feel restrictive at times, but if you work as a team then it never really is an issue. If everyone had their own camera people would probably just run off and do their own thing and then you might as well just be playing the game solo.
